The Ferguson at the Holidays

by | Dec 5, 2025 | Past Events

The Friends of the Ferguson Chapel in Watonga headed a Holiday Gathering and Tree Lighting in collaboration with the City of Watonga, Watonga Lions Club, City of Watonga and other civic Groups on Dec. 6, 2025. The Friends of the Ferguson Chapel, which the Ferguson Family helped found in 1903, arranged a wagon pulled by a John Deere Tractor that stopped at the Chapel for a Holiday Concert by Katie and Tiffany Ballew, then went on up Weigle Ave to the Ferguson Home Museum. The museum was decorated for the holidays, and sported new white paint on the building, gray paint on the trim and burgandy on the sash. The stop at the Ferguson Home Museum netted holiday candy. Then everyone was carried back to the Lions-Centennial Park for the tree lighting, hot cocoa, games and Food vendors and holiday sales. The trailer made many trips around the one mile loop for many people.
